Field note

Current setup

This is the current state of my everyday setup: the PC I use, the audio gear I reach for, and the keyboards that keep the desk interesting. I will update this note as parts of the setup change.

PC

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
  • RAM: 32GB (16GB × 2) at 3200MHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5060 (8GB GDDR7)
  • Monitor: ASUS TUF VG259QM5A (24.5” 1920x1080 240hz)
  • Mouse: Fantech Helios II Pro

Audio gear

  • Philips SHP9500: daily driver at the desk
  • Moondrop Aria 2 Red: daily on-the-road driver
  • Moondrop May
  • Tangzu Wan’er

The SHP9500 is the usual choice at home, while the Aria 2 Red is the pair I bring with me. The May and Wan’er stay in the rotation when I feel like changing things up.

Keeping it current

This is a living note rather than a final inventory. When a part changes or a board gets rebuilt, I will update the relevant section here.
